Coaching and Facility
Training sessions are instructed by USA Boxing certified coach Cory Rhoades.
Simpson Boxing’s head coach is former multiple-time amateur boxing champ Cory Rhoades. Cory has an emphasis on community as a coach and pioneered the free Saturday youth boxing program that Simpson University Boxing has partnered with. As a coach, Cory brings lots of experience to the table as well as a passion for all forms of fighting. Specializing in boxing, Cory has brought multiple athletes to a high level of skill in the ring. Cory recognizes the unique strengths each person develops in training as something to focus on. Teaching the basics and learning each fighter to get them to their personal best is a personal philosophy. Cory’s favorite words during training are, “perfect” and “terrible”.
Practice times are as follows and subject to change:
Mon-Fri: Noon – 2 PM
Monday: 7:30 PM – 8:45 PM
Tues – Thurs: 7 PM – 8:30 PM
Saturday: (Kids ages 7-17) 10 AM – 11:30 AM
*private lessons available at alternative times.
Practices are held at the Cory Rhoades Boxing Gym:
